I'm not looking forward to it....more later when I get back from class.
i won two games of mao :) more info on that later when i dont have a flight at the butt crack of dawn.
Its been a tradition for me to list out the things I have done in the past year at the end of the year in a blog. I have several that date back all the way to my high school blogging days on xanga. I also have some on myspace, and now I'm posting here.
Unfortunately I wont be doing the list right here, right now cause I dont have that much internet access. I'll just have to do it later when I get back to California. Its nice for a change to be in the mainland for new years instead of being at home.
Anyway, 2008 was definitely my year. I predicted that in 2006, my rock bottom year, that 2007 will be great, and 2008 will be just as awesome, maybe even better. Now that the best year of my life is pretty much over, I can honestly say that the next couple of years will be pretty damn amazing. I know there will be tough times but in the end, its pretty much fate. These years are the best ones of my life and I'm living it up while I can.
2008 was simply amazing. And I cant wait to bring in 2009. I'm extremely excited for my future and what it holds.

so like i said i'm back in the xtreme fun rentals office. its good to be back but sometimes i kinda regret saying i would come back to work. i keep on forgetting how stressful this job can be. oh well. i'm making money and its good. at least dont have to learn new things for this job. its the same old, same old. i make schedules, i take calls, i pretty much do a lot of paperwork. in all honesty i would much rather be out on the field running the rides, but i still like being in the office. except when all the complaints come in cause i have to deal with it.
anyway, its so lonely here. there's really no one for me to talk to because my co-worker in the summer quit when i was in australia. and normally i dont work during the winter time. its weird...and my mom is about to pick me up right now so i'll finish this when i get home.
*EDIT: epic fail on trying to finish this entry. Haha.

first it was the fires near my school in califorina (glad i wasnt there for that)
then its pissing rain here in hawaii. we got about 12 inches of rain today. and 6 of those inches came in less than two hours. thats how bad it was. this just reminds me of how much i really dont like rain.
the weather was so gorgeous when i got back home. and now it did a total 180 and its really crappy!
i shoulda stayed home today.

24 ish hours later, i'm back in my lovely little house in hawaii.
the bad thing is that the time difference is fucking me over. also, i've gained a day so i'm re-living december 3rd right now. cause 24 hours ago, it was december 3rd and i was on an airplane. gosh these things are so complicated.
anyway, i'm sorta kinda glad to be back but i really really miss australia.
i'll update more when i'm not so tired and when i have time. peace!

My semester in Australia is over. And I've never felt this adamant about leaving but I have to. I've never had this bittersweet feeling be this strong about leaving the city I've been calling home for the past 4 and a 1/2 months but still somewhat wanting to go back to Hawaii and California.
I'll be back soon. I know it.
More later when I'm not pressed for time. I'll write when I get back to Hawaii
But for now, see you later Australia. I've had the time of my life.

Today one of my best friends in Sydney left :( What a sad day. I'm seriously gonna miss Thom :(
With Thom leaving, its reminding me that I'll be leaving soon...and I really dont want to leave here. Its absolutely amazing here. I love my life in Sydney and I dont want to leave it!
I have 8 days left in Sydney, and the past couple days have been pretty nice. Been going out lots and drinking lots before I go home, and trying to spend time with both my friends and Ned.
Other than that, home is 8 days away. And I am not looking forward to it at all.

I seriously dont know what to study.
This is going to be the worst week of my entire stay here in Australia because of finals.
Japanese wasnt that bad, but Stats and physics....ugh. I dont wanna know. I'm more scared of the stats final because its worth 60% of my grade. I need to PASS this class. I'm pretty confident that I can get a credit in Physics because I've been doing pretty well in that class compared to Stats. Then again, for the Stats final I get to bring in a page of notes, so I'm good. BUT shit I'm scared shitless for this test
Anyway, tomorrow me and Racheal are going to see a show at the opera house! Yay :)
Oh yeah, happy 4 months to me and australia!

SO here's a couple good things that happened today:
1. I found out I got an high distinction for my last stats assignment!
2. We finished our poster on time for physics
3. Got a high distinction on my lab report
4. Racheal, Steve and I got full marks on our poster!
5. Our lab professor said our poster was the best one he's ever seen!
Our lab professor asked to keep our poster as an example for other classes. It was a pretty bomb poster thanks to Racheal's creativity.
Anyway, I LEAVE AUSTRALIA IN ONE MONTH!!! AHHHHH HHH!!!!
I'm not happy about that and the fact that I'm really behind w/ downloading. Oh well. At least internet is somewhat free at home :)

Not only do I hate physics but I hate statistics too.
More later after this assignment from hell is done.

I'm starting to feel a bit homesick now that I've been here for almost 2 months. Actually more so missing Chapman. But nevertheless I still love it here in Sydney...its just that I'm super super scared of not passing this semester. I honestly do not like the classes here at UTS. And apparently, Physical Modelling (the physics class I'm taking) is one of the harder classes at this school. Its a physics foundation class for Engineering majors, and I am DEFINITELY not one.
This semester is DEFINITELY gonna kill my GPA. I thought I was gonna have it easy, but no. I decided to take physics.
Also, I really dont like the fact that my sleeping schedule is not so good. And I need to start eating healthier. And yet again, we went over our gigabyte limit this month so the internet from 9am-3am will be pretty damn slow which means I need to stay up late to DL and surf the web fast.
AHHHHH I cant wait for spring break. And I'm so stoked that school is ending soon, but that also means I'm leaving =(

Last night I fell asleep at 6am. Why? Because I was downloading episodes of Mago Mago Arashi (MMA) I was missing. Also Odoroki 4 was finally subbed so I downloaded that too. And it didnt help that I could only start downloading from 3am cause thats when our off-peak DL time is. But I still got up at around 2pm so the entire day wasnt wasted. I dont get wireless internet here in Australia. Apparently the city wasn't built for high speed internet connection. Oh well. I cant wait until I get back to Chapman where wireless is pretty much free.
So next semester, I have three options of where to live; 1) with Racheal near the Toyota of Orange, 2) with Crystal in Glass, and 3) with Tom in a house near the 22 freeway. The catch is, my financial aid package is based on me living on campus, therefore if I want to keep the amount of money I get, which is a LOT, I have to live on campus. But if I dont get housing, then I'm pretty much screwed with financial aid, but I have other options of where to go.
Pro's and Con's:
1) Living with Racheal in a town house near Toyota of Orange
-its only $400 a month cause she and I will share the master bedroom
-I get to live with one of my good friends
-ITS NEAR THE TOYOTA OF ORANGE DAMMIT! Its about a good mile or two away from Chapman
-I have no car to get back and forth to campus.
-Financial aid might go down
-I'm sharing a house with two people I dont know
2) Living with Crystal in Glass Hall (apartments)
-I get to live on campus!
-Free wireless
-Campus is RIGHT there
-I get to live with one of my best friends
-I get to keep my financial aid
-Getting groceries will be hard cause I have no car
-Gotta share a room again...
-There's a slight chance that I might not get to live here because I might not get housing OR her roommate decides not to study abroad.
3) Living with Tom
-Its a bit closer than the Toyota of Orange
-I get my own room and bathroom
-Its going to cost me $700 a month
-I'm definitely gonna have to get a bike to get to school
-My financial aid might go down
-I wont have to move my stuff very far (right now Tom is storing all of my stuff in his house)
-I get to live with one of my good friends
-I can party!
Out of the three, I'm definitely aiming for living back on campus. I definitely do NOT want to live by the Toyota of Orange. If worse comes to worst, I'll consider moving in with Tom. I'm crossing my fingers for on-campus housing!
Anyway, today was a really lazy day. I didnt get much done except watch MMA all day, and record myself reciting a Japanese passage for my e-Portfolio assignment. Right now I'm attempting to practice some Kanji. Today I was supposed to go to Kinokuniya near Town Hall to buy my Japanese book but I realized that I needed to curb my spending because I still need to buy groceries and I dont want to go over my credit card limit since I charged my spring break trip on it.
MMA is super cute =) I really like the episodes where they go cook dinner for kids. Its so hilarious seeing them cook and handling the kids. Oh yah, I still have yet to DL the first part of the NEWS pacific dvd...that can wait.
Well, time to hit the books. Damn you Kanji. Damn you.

I find that I update here more than I do on this blog that I have set up especially for my trip. I figure no one that I really know (other than Jasmine) will find this blog at all unlike the other one so I can rant and rave all I want without people that I dont want reading it.
Anyway, today was the very FIRST day I've ever heard a professor at UTS actually tell a group of people to quiet down. The row of people sitting behind me in Stats were making SO much noise I just wanted to tell them SHUT THE F*CK UP!!! so I could listen to the lecture. But I didn't cause I felt like it wasnt my place to say those kinds of things. Halfway through the lecture, the professor finally got irritated, somewhat, and told them to shut up. If those people were in a lecture class at Chapman, they would have gotten kicked out of class. Seriously. Most teachers at Chapman don't tolerate that kind of behavior. Well, the one's I've had anyway. I'm actually really glad that I do go to Chapman because at least I know I'm at a school where most people are serious about getting a degree. I'm not too sure about the students here at UTS though...go figure.
Other than that, basically I am broke until my money comes in. I spent about $700 on my trip to the Gold Coast, and yeah. I really need to get some groceries, buy some new clothes, and a vacuum cause the one we have is old and broken ish. I think it can wait. But I am totally stoked that Chapman is refunding me money. I'm pretty sure I'll get money back next semester cause there is a very BIG chance that I'll be living in the Glass apartments and it only cost roughly $4000 to live there. I'm sooo excited!
Also, I'm beginning to dislike living in my apartment. The only thing I really like about living here is that I have wireless internet in my room. I like several of my flat mates, but I absolutely CANNOT stand one of them. And the fact that people DO NOT clean up after themselves! I just washed another sink full of dishes/glasses cause someone just left them there after using them. They've been sitting there for almost a week and only today I decided to wash them cause it was irritating the crap out of me. I swear, its so irritating! And the flat mate who I cant stand is...ugh. I cant even describe him. He's basically one of the most desperate people I've ever met in my entire life. And I'll leave it at there because even the though of him is absolutely disgusting.
Other than him, the four other people I live with are pretty nice. Audrey is my neighbor, she lives in the room next to mine. She's from France and she's really nice. Ghislain is the other guy who lives in my flat, and he's also from France. We share the same birthday! The two girls who share the last room is Yum, who's from Vietnam, and Tahsina, who's from India. You know whats really weird? How NONE of my flat mates are from Australia. We're all international students. My friend Racheal, who lives down the hall, has three Australian flatmates. They're really cool...especially Toby =)
Anyway, the majority of my friends are international. They're from London/UK, Finland, France, Germany, etc. And you know what's really sad? I have made no friends in my Japanese class. I really really miss my Japanese class at Chapman! I feel like I'm re-learning everything I've learned last year, but we're also learning lots of casual speech so sometimes I sit there and go, "ehh?" Also, the majority of the people in my class are all Chinese. How weird....
You know what else is really weird? The majority of our download limit is available from 3am-9am, which is the non peak hours. Therefore, if I wanted to download something from LJ, I would have to do it then because last month, we exceeded our download limit and internet was so SLOW for a good week and a 1/2. Wireless is so weird here.
I'm starting to miss home, but I'm still having so much fun =)
